Abstract

The period of 6/7 years is intense, full of many mental creations necessary for the full preparation of children in view of their successful adaptation to the requirements of the school. An essential component of general psychological readiness is psychomotor skills for graphic expression. The concepts: psychomotor skills, psychomotor skills for graphic expression, fine motor skills are the subject of research by a number of psychologists and pedagogues.
The level of development of fine motor skills is one of the indicators of the child's intellectual readiness for school. Poor motility of the fingers gives low results when performing various tasks, such as contouring, coloring, drawing on a pattern, untying knots, cutting with scissors and more. The child gets tired quickly, loses interest and does not complete the task.
Children are placed in an active position and are stimulated to expand and rethink their experience. They are partners of the teacher, motivated, thinking, curious and searching. Following the path of knowledge, it is a helper and collaborator during the formation of ideas, skills and attitudes.
Developing fine motor skills is a long and conscious activity that requires patience and time. The earlier the child starts playing these games, the greater the effect. Writing is related to the fine motor skills of a person and that is why children with various exercises for its development start training at preschool age. In order to learn to write more easily, it is good to have established habits for this. The systemic efforts have a positive effect on the mental development of the child.
Are our children ready today for writing and other motor activities at school? They will have strenuous and tiring exercises for writing and hand preparation. The child becomes frustrated and falls into a trap. It has to absorb a huge amount of information and at the same time think about its insecure naughty hand. Especially important are the communicative competencies and the child's ability to deal with information expressed through various symbols, including letters and numbers.
The article presents the theoretical aspects of the work problem, derived from the concepts of foreign and Bulgarian scientists - psychologists and pedagogues
