Abstract

A key feature of the system model is the way in which conflicts are addressed within the organization. Systematic theorists represent the conflict as a departure from the generally accepted principles of behavior inside and outside the organization. According to critics, conflict must be seen as something inevitable and normal. They argue that if goals are not well formulated, it is natural for the organization to suffer internal conflicts. The criticism of the system model is that ignoring competition, it slows down changes within the organization.
The theoreticians of the open system focus their attention on the processes of interaction between the organization and its environment, and the changes and consequences that follow from this, for organizations. In order for it to function, management must constantly interact with different elements of the external general and the specific environment. Continuous change presents itself as a threat which management has to deal with. On the other hand, the change in the environment creates prerequisites for a competitive advantage.
The theory of socio-technical systems focuses on the relationship between social and technical factors in an organization, focusing on determining the effect of changing work structures on productivity and organizational effectiveness. The social system includes the people who work in the organization and their relationships, and the technological system - the means, the techniques, the procedures, the skills, the strategy, the knowledge and the tools.
According to the supporters of this theory, the most efficient organizations are the organizations where social and technological systems are mutually supportive.
Situational theory attempts to create guidelines for organization and management based on the integration of previous theories. It unfolds the notion that none of the factors alone is able to provide organizational sustainability. The reason, according to them, should be sought in the individuality of the employees, the technologies and the dynamics of the environment.
Situational approach supporters believe that the company's results depend on the individual performance of each employee and management should include motivating factors for employees. The problem is that there are no universal factors that affect each employee equally and they are random to the personal characteristics of employees within the organization.
The main objective of the present study is to study the system theory, the characteristics of the system model, the analysis of the socio-technical concept and the application of situational theory.
