THE ACCESS AND THE ROLE OF THE DOCTOR AS A FACTOR FOR SUCCESSFUL IMPLEMENTATION OF IMMUNIZATION IN THE MUNICIPALITY VINICA

Abstract

Good management of immunization programmes, essential to the reduction of morbidity and mortality from major childhood infectious diseases, is a basic measure of government commitment to preventative health care. The family and the doctor plays a vital role in promoting immunisation by helping the public to understand the benefits and risks associated with vaccines. Aims: The main objective of this paper is implementation of immunization in Republic of Macedonia, based on relevant data and analysis about this preventive activity. To achieve this goal were used the following information and analysis: Implementation of vaccination in Republic of Macedonia in the period from 2010 to 2016; Display planned persons subject to vaccination and vaccinated persons in Republic of Macedonia in the period from 2010 to 2016. Materials and Methods: In realization of the goal a retrospective study on the implementation of immunization in Republic of Macedonia in the period 2010-2015. Data were collected from: the annual reports of vaccinated children in the calendar of vaccinations delivered to the Institute of Public Health of the Republic of Macedonia vaccination service at "Health Home" Kocani (period 2010-2015 year) and reports of service prevention and control immunization of the Institute of Public Health of the Republic of Macedonia. The data obtained were processed statistically and are shown in tables. Results and discussion: In the analyzed period, the municipality of Vinica has a much higher percentage of vaccinated persons compared to the data for the Republic of Macedonia. The coverage of the vaccinated persons according to the mandatory vaccine calendar ranges from 95% to 100%. In the Vinica municipality in 2013, the coverage of immunized individuals against Hepatitis B is 98%; in 2014 and 2015 the coverage is 99%, which is a higher percentage of coverage than the coverage in R. Macedonia. in immunization against Haemophilus influenzae type B is higher than 95%. In 2013 and 2015, 99%, in 2014, one percent less coverage (98%). In the Republic. Macedonia has a lower coverage ranging from 97.1% in 2013, 93.6% in 2014 and 88.6% in the past 2015. The submission and maintenance of accurate and timely immunization data can be created and conducted surveillance and monitoring of the overall immunization of the population. Conclusion: In the analyzed period, the municipality of Vinica is in the first place in the Republic of Macedonia according to the number of vaccinated persons in the period from 2013 to 2105 in relation to all vaccines according to the mandatory vaccine calendar. In order to increase coverage, vaccination services should be engaged in finding unregistered, unvaccinated and incomplete vaccinated individuals, but also those who migrate more often in the country and abroad.
