The training of nursing students in the Republic of Bulgaria is carried out in accordance with the Unified State Requirements and combines the traditions of nursing education in the country with the high European and world standards for a quality nursing care. The training of nurses is aimed at training professionals capable of organizing quality, up-to-date health care, applying a holistic approach to the patient and his or her problems. The learning process facilitates the acquisition of professional habits, working relationships, prepares skills for adaptation in the work environment. The mastering technical and professional skills in the learning process influence students’ perceptions of the nursing care. The clarifying meaning of the cares will help to find the right interventions and professional training tools that will facilitate the students in the clinical practice to understand and practice better nursing cares.<br>This study aims to explore the students’ perceptions from the specialty "nurse" for the cares and to care and get useful information to improve the training.<br>The empirical research is aimed at analyzing the perceptions of the students of the specialty "nurse" studying at the Branch "Prof. Ivan Mitev?- Vratsa, Medical University - Sofia for nursing ??r?. The study was conducted between September and December 2019 among 177 students from I to IV course. The data were collected using a questionnaire that included questions about participants’ demographic characteristics and an open-ended question which asking students to define their own "nursing care" without trying to recall any scientific definitions that have studied or read in the scientific literature. The answers of the open-ended question are analyzed and categorized by the qualitative content analysis.<br>The results show that the students understand the meaning of the concept of "nursing" in nursing. They perceive nursing care as a process requiring knowledge and skills to plan and evaluate care; nursing interventions aimed at improving the patient’s symptoms, improving his or her well-being, promoting health and meeting the patient’s basic care and information needs while putting his or her interests first.</p>}, number={4}, journal={KNOWLEDGE - International Journal }, author={Yankova, Galya}, year={2020}, month={Jun.}, pages={793–798} }
