In recent years, the supply and demand for cosmetic procedures which eliminate the signs of aging and improve the appearance of the skin has significantly increased. These procedures are related to the prevention of the changes of the skin, the treatment of various skin types (dry, oily, combination, sensitive skin), as well as its imperfections (pigmentation, scarring, dilated capillaries, wrinkles, etc.). At the same time, the number of salons offering their implementation is increasing. The cosmetic practices, regardless of whether it is a place for public health or a medical institution, there is a large overlap of medical and cosmetic activities performed by doctors and cosmetic procedures that are non-invasive and can be performed by estheticians. or medical estheticians, the latter may also perform minimally invasive procedures. The lack of standards to define and impose good practices for the application of professional competencies in the field of cosmetics/esthetics in the field of medical cosmetics is largely a prerequisite for unfair competition in the labor market and hinders the realization of professionals in their full potential for the economy and society.
