Abstract

Air pollution is an important risk factor for human health and is indisputably associated with environmental pollution. There is no doubt that the main sources of air pollution around the world are the same - energy, individual furnaces, transport, industry, agriculture, waste management. The level of pollution varies from country to country, because in countries that limit emissions by law and encourage the use of state-of-the-art technologies, pollution sources do much less damage than in countries that do not have or do not enforce such regulations. see in the European Union, and the countries of the Western Balkans have a long way to go. They need to limit allowable emissions, tighten regulations, and then implement them, and turn the problem of air pollution into a chance for cleaner and greener development. Exposure to outdoor air pollution is also associated with a large number of acute and chronic health conditions, from irritation to death. While the impact on respiratory and cardiovascular diseases is well documented, new science shows that air pollution also appears as a risk factor for children's health, and even for the occurrence of diabetes. Vulnerable and vulnerable groups are particularly affected, such as pregnant women, children, the elderly and people already suffering from respiratory and other serious diseases, or people from low-income groups. The health effects of air pollution are well documented, although mixtures of air pollution can be complex. Air pollution exists as a mixture of liquid and solid phases; a mixture of gaseous, volatile, semi-volatile substances and suspended particles, and its exact composition varies greatly. The main pollutants, for whose impact on health there are numerous studies, are suspended particles, ozone, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, methane, mercury and soot obtained by burning hydrocarbon gases
