Abstract

The quality of drinking water is very important and an essential factor for the normal functioning of
living beings. Depending on the quality of water, the quality of many food products, which use water in their
processing and production process, also depends. The city of Vranje has chemically and bacteriologically correct
drinking water, because the water is regularly checked, controlled and analyzed, both in the water factory and in the
Public Health Institute of Vranje. However, the large number of factories and the loading of watercourses with an
excessive amount of waste greatly affect the change in water quality. For this reason, it is very important to treat the
water so that the water remains of satisfactory quality. There are many legal regulations that, through their
regulations, influence the maintenance of water quality at a satisfactory level. This paper focuses precisely on the
application of legal regulations and regulations in the treatment of drinking water testing.
