BIOLOGICAL WEAPONS AS A MODERN SECURITY THREAT

Bioterrorism is one of the most modern threats to humanity. Transnational organized criminal groups work on the distribution and resale of biological weapons to terrorist organizations around the world, which later use them for terrorist purposes. There is no doubt that terrorists are trying to gain possession of biological weapons, in order to achieve their goals. With the progress and development of information technologies, we are increasingly witnessing that information on biological weapons can be found on the Internet. The aim of the research in this paper is to prove the hypothesis that biological weapons are one of the most modern security threats to humanity. The technique of data collection and research will be the analysis of the content of texts of legal and political documents, as well as the available literature in this field, relevant internet sources and magazines.
