Abstract

Rural tourism is a complex tourism product, composed of numerous partial tourism products that are interconnected in functional, economic, sociological and spatial, as well as tourism as a whole, because the rural area has numerous local and regional tourist attractions from which numerous partial products are created. , which on the principle of "small connection" create specific products characteristic of rural areas and rural tourism.
Rural tourism satisfies the urban man's need for "free space", for the return of tradition, for learning about the differences in natural resources and folklore and allows him to get acquainted with the "characteristic agricultural cultures of the region".
Rural tourism is a selective form of tourism that gains importance in the context of the ecological dimension of man and space and growing awareness of the need for sustainable development.
