Abstract

Most of the organizations agree now days that effective leadership is one of the most important contributors to the overall organizational performance and change. Intelligent leaders are those who have a store of skills and knowledge gained from experience that allows them to manage effectively and efficiently the tasks of daily life. Effective leadership is always required to bring effective changes. Leaders must be capable to promote and cultivate the innovative culture within an organization, by motivating others to bring new ideas and provide a proper infrastructure to convert them into reality.1 In an innovative culture, employees know that their ideas are valued and believe that it is safe to express and act on those ideas and to learn from failure. Leaders reinforce this state of mind by involving employees in decisions that matter to them. The role of leadership in change management requires that you help people buy into your vision for the organization. Accountable leaders look at all aspects of the organization culture, processes, management, and employees to ensure all are functioning optimally. If they are not, a good change management leader must be willing to admit the gaps or misalignments and take actions to address shortcomings. Successful change is one of the biggest problems that modern organizations face. In our fast changing world, the strategic imperative to change is often clear: Without doing things differently, our company is unlikely to succeed, or last. Companies are forced to be innovative in order to ensure market competitiveness. Innovation is one of the key drivers of economic growth of enterprises. Innovations are the wheel of development, the driving force of change. They discover new opportunities, create a competitive advantage and create conditions for the company to survive in a competitive market. They are the key to success in the future. Innovation is important for the long term success of the company. In this way, a sustainable competitive advantage should be ensured. Innovation creates benefits for the consumer, the enterprise and society. It creates additional value for the consumers through better quality of the product service. Enterprises increase productivity and are more competitive in the market. Innovation creates a competitive advantage in the market. Innovation in and of itself can be complex. It usually involves large scale and highly complex organizational change, with multiple inter dependencies. The challenge of actually implementing innovation is arguably just as difficult as the process of creating the innovation itself.
Sustained innovation comes from developing a collective sense of purpose; from unleashing the creativity of people throughout your organization and from teaching them how to recognize unconventional opportunities.
