Abstract

In today's business environment, change is inevitable. The main purpose and goal of every company is profit, and profit is made by daily adapting to new market conditions. Transportation processes are becoming more complex, so the decision-making process is more complex. Quality processing of collected data is required for making quality decisions. One of the most important issues for the user of transport services is the choice of the optimal form of transport. Fleet management is an area in which it is possible to achieve great savings in transport costs, and this is achieved through optimal use of transport capacity. Fleet Management is a complex process that almost all major companies have introduced into their business in order to control their fleet as easily as possible. Successful business management implies the introduction of certain organizational changes in terms of process improvement and cost reduction. One of the procedures for improving the business and reducing costs is vehicle routing problem. The problem of vehicle routing is the process of choosing the set of the most favorable roads in the network of roads on which vehicles should move when serving a set of users in order to reduce transport costs and improve customer service. VRP is the heart of distribution management. Today, the transport of goods is one of the most important processes, without which the life and survival of people would be unthinkable. In order to enable the transport of goods by road, appropriate road infrastructure is needed. Effectiveness primarily depends on the way the company is organized, the characteristics of the company environment and the characteristics of the employees. The efficiency of the company is reflected in the relationship between the generated income and the operating costs of the vehicle fleet. The paper is based on the analysis of the fleet and its structure. The paper presents the productivity of the vehicle fleet of the transport organization “Put Company”, as well as the costs of the vehicle fleet. In order to meet the existing requirements, the vehicle fleet of this company, for more effective and efficient work, must be constantly monitored, ie must be taken into account both the operation of the fleet and the productivity of the fleet, operating costs, in order to making the biggest profit. The essence of this study is reflected in the optimization of the work of the vehicle fleet on specific transport tasks, and the savings that open up when applying the mode of optimized work of the vehicle fleet.
