Abstract

Although an abundance of information exists concerning advantages and disadvantages of grouping
gifted students in classroom settings, little research has focused on gifted children’s parents’ and teachers’ opinions
of group work. The present study explored potential differences between these opinions.
One of the qualitative research methodologies, namely the phenomenology design, was used in our paper. The
phenomenon examined here is the participants' opinions regarding science education for gifted students. The present
study participants were 15 talented students, 15 parents, and 4 science teachers. The study's data were collected
using semi-structured interviews held with the participants and the results have shown that gifted students possess a
mental perception of sciences. Gifted learners in the area of science learn by experimenting, making projects,
observing, etc. After analyzing the results obtained, it can be said that if we want gifted students to make full use of
their abilities in science, they should have an enjoyable learning environment where they can be active and have fun
while learning
