The modern management of companies implies the application of a business policy that continuously respects the business environment. Market turbulences complaint concrete and timely decisions, taking into account all factors that affect the successful management of business organizations. Namely, the need to adapt the company's internal capabilities to external influences, among other things, implies changes in the organizational culture as a key factor of organizational changes. Organizational culture through its values, customs and norms influences the behavior and attitude of employees and their willingness to accept and implement changes, that is exactly the need for research on it. In fact, the paper researches the theoretical achievements of organizational culture and its role in the implementation of organizational changes. The empirical part of the paper focuses the analysis on organizational cultures and their impact on the application of organizational changes as a basis for successful management of companies. The paper also empirically focuses on the analysis for modification of organizational culture and its connection with the competitiveness of the market of business organizations in the Polog region.
