Abstract

The study of any foreign language can be roughly (but also quite wholesomely and objectively) divided into: 1) the learning of the vocabulary in foreign language and 2) the learning of grammar. The learning of grammar requires an increasingly high intelligence and "mathematical" thinking, with a sense of system and structure, the ability to link grammatical rules. Vocabulary is not a precisely structured system on clear rules. Languages in the world are not isolated, they are connected from a genealogical and geographical point of view. Some languages belong to the same family, and therefore have more or less similar and/or identical words. Some languages, however, despite different genealogy, have been in close contact with each other throughout history or now, and have taken over some of the vocabulary of the other language. Internationalisms often creates mitigating circumstances in communication, but also in the process of foreign language learning. The pace of foreign language study could also be predicted and/or planned according to the amount of similar vocabulary between the first and second languages. The choice of vocabulary is also a quite important factor in the production of teaching aids when making a dedicated textbook for a target group: students from one country. In each teaching unit, the vocabulary units that will be offered to meet multiple criteria should be taken into account when choosing the vocabulary. First, it's frequency. Secondly, the real need for communication at the appropriate level (A1, A2, B1, etc.). Third, similarity/diversity and (non)understandability. Also, research into the rate of difference in frequency vocabulary offers valuable indicators of confrontational linguistics. This draws concrete conclusions about the closeness/distance of languages. Furthermore, determining the diversity rate and comprehension rate will also contribute to genealogical and contact linguistics, i.e. offer an enriched picture of kinship relationships, through corpus-lexicon confirmation, as well as contacts between languages. The benefit to confrontational, comparative and contact linguistics, however, cannot be matched by the effect such research can achieve on the methodology of teaching and for the entire process of studying foreign language. Precise determination of frequency vocabulary, a fast basis of volumetric and representative material (corpus), will allow for rapid and efficient acquisition of the rate of, above all, diversity, by computer path. These findings will then be used for the needs of teaching and the production of teaching aids. The Macedonian language in comparison with world languages, but also in the context of other Slavic languages, is usually considered polysemic.
