Metaphor has been the subject of much research. The purposes of this article are modest. The article presents metaphors from the names of the human body in the Bulgarian language according to Naiden Gerov's dictionary. Metaphor is one of the most commonly used nominative means, the study of which is imperative. A peculiarity of the parts of the human body is that they are used in different languages as a metaphorical potential
