Abstract

Polytraumatized patients are a complex clinical scenario that requires comprehensive management, including anesthesia administration. This specialist paper aims to describe the unique challenges associated with providing anesthesia in polytrauma cases and to explore the strategies used to optimize patient outcomes.Polytrauma patients present with multiple injuries affecting different organ systems, necessitating a coordinated approach to anesthesia management. Data on patients diagnosed with polytrauma from PHI "General Hospital" Strumica, Republic of were used as materials for the preparation of this specialist paper. North Macedonia. The research is based on a time period of 2022 2023 during which 610 patients were recorded. According to the received data, during 2022 2023 there are a total of 614 patients in the Strumica region. The number of male patients has a slight advantage over the number of female patients, i.e. 309 male patients versus 305 female patients.A survey was made on the distribution in terms of number, age and sex. Mainly attention is given to age, gender, symptoms and treatment to eliminate or reduce symptoms. According to this research, the most at risk group is by far the young adults with a slight tendency to increase the incidence in the period of 25 34 years.
