Abstract

With the development of the Internet, social networks have also developed, which present free online services that enable communication and connection of users. It is often assumed that members of social networks are younger people who use, for example, Facebook to exchange statuses and photos and open Facebook groups. However, recently business people who open their company pages on social networks have become members of social networks. Why? Social media provides many ways to target what you want to get out there.
Marketing on social networks today is an obligation of both small and large companies, and managing corporate profiles is part of almost every company's business.
Social media marketing is, in short, the use of platforms to connect with the audience in order to build your brand, increase sales, and increase "internet traffic" on the website.
Social media marketing involves posting unique and relevant content on your profiles, listening to and engaging your followers, analyzing results and serving targeted ads.
Social networks have matured much more than being just a place to broadcast content - today social networks have opened a new chapter of digital marketing where many companies compete for the attention of their target audience.
Companies use social media in countless different ways. Brands that care about what their target audience is saying about them would monitor conversations in which they are mentioned and respond to messages and relevant notes. Brands that want to understand the results of their engagement would use analytical tools to analyze their reach, engagement and sales on social networks. A company that wants to reach a specific audience group would display targeted ads targeting only that group.
Social media marketing helps a company get feedback directly from clients (and potential clients) while at the same time creating a more personal image of itself on a global scale. The interactivity of social media gives clients the opportunity to ask questions, make possible complaints, share opinions. In this way, clients feel safer, and the company, by showing care for clients, gains even greater authority. This aspect of Social media marketing is called customer relationship management through social networks.
Good social media marketing requires dedication. Serious experts in online marketing know that for the maximum potential of social media, you need to listen well to the audience, share only relevant messages with them and allow others to share and spread them further.
Social media marketing has advantages and disadvantages. The important thing is to be aware of them, so can maximize advantages and minimize disadvantages.
